MEET OUR STAFF

President, CEO
Annie MacAulay

Annie holds a Bachelor of Science in Leadership with an emphasis in Biology from Azusa Pacific University. Annie is employed fulltime for Mountain and Sea Educational Adventures.

In 1992, Annie joined the staff at Long Beach Marine Institute. First serving as an environmental education teacher, her position grew to developing new programs and curriculum. Annie created an inter-tidal program at Little Corona Marine Preserve and a coastal bird estuary survey at Bolsa Chica Marine Preserve. She also worked on the research vessel Conqueror, teaching marine mammal and whale watch programs, in addition to running educational sea trawling programs in conjunction with the Department of Fish and Game. Annie’s favorite work aboard the Conqueror was running environmental education camps at Isthmus Cove, Catalina Island.

In 1997, Annie began planning and developing a non-profit corporation – which was to become MSA. MSA’s first camps were held in 1998. Mountain & Sea Adventures has experienced yearly growth and now serves over six thousand students yearly.

Under Annie’s leadership, the following partnerships have formed with MSA: West Los Angeles County Boy Scouts, Newport Sea Scouts, Newport Back Bay Marine Science Center, and Forest Home Christian Conference Center.
