Spend a week aboard a marine research vessel exploring Catalina Island, come to our Alaska camp and experience ‘The Last American Frontier’, or chose from one of our various day camp locations in Newport Beach and San Pedro.
Floating Sea Camp
MSA’s summer camp program on Catalina Island is unlike any other available!
Where else can you enjoy living on board a US Coast Guard certified marine research vessel as you explore the many various attractions of Catalina Island, and enjoying activities like surfing, snorkeling, kayaking, hiking, fishing, exploring sea caves, skill sessions and jumping of the top deck of a ship into the water below?!
Can you imagine how much fun a whole week jam packed with these awesome activities will be?!
Catalina Island Summer Floating Sea Camp is the highlight of the summer for countless kids and teens around the world whom return year after year to enjoy the best Catalina has to offer, as well as to create new adventures and incredible memories together!
Summer Day Camps
Our fun and highly educational program is held at the prestigious Back Bay Science Center, where your child has a unique opportunity to utilize many various resources for discovering the hidden beauty of one of the most precious natural resources in Newport Beach – the Back Bay.
Give your child the opportunity to develop a personal love and appreciation for environmental science!
Each of our activities correlates to exploring the themes and ideas presented during the short interactive lectures and games focusing on a certain aspect of marine biology and natural sciences.
Your child gets to use the resources at the Back Bay Science Center, which is a secure gated facility and houses touch tanks, aquariums, microscope labs, as well as kayaks an canoes for exploring the Back Bay.
MSA has also partnered with the Newport Aquatic Center to give your child the opportunity to use many different small one and two person crafts such as kayaks and paddleboards; as well as the rare opportunity to learn how to row various outriggers of multiple sizes.
Located at the Cabrillo Youth Center in San Pedro, this program focuses on marine biology and environmental science. With lots of exciting activities such as visits to the Cabrillo Aquarium’s touch tanks, beach time for playing in the waves and visiting tide pools, visiting a bird sanctuary, and enjoying learn how to kayak and paddle a canoe!
